Lucio Surf is a custom game mode for Overwatch. The objective of Lucio Surf is to get from point A to point B, sometimes through checkpoints on the way, as fast as possible without touching the ground.
There are two different modes for Lucio Surf called "Standard" and "Gravspeed". Standard is just that, the standard speed. In Gravspeed Lucio's speed is set to 125% and gravity is reduced to 80%.
To play Lucio Surf you can start your own game with the Workshop Codes to the right, or search for an existing one. To find a game open Overwatch, click on Play > Game Browser and search for "Lucio Surf".
Each season has its own routes for each map, and its own ranking and records.
The Workshop Code is KVKKR
Anyone can submit their runs to Lucio Surf League! You need to make sure you are using the correct Workshop Code and you need to record your runs as proof. You can record using software like Medal. We prefer if the videos are uploaded on gfycat.
To submit a run join our Discord and post it in the #bot-commands channel. Type /submit and the bot will guide you through it.
Due to workshop updating some specific variables - the important one in this case being Position Of - every 5 frames (ca. 0.08 sec) the old code allowed for times up to 8 frames faster than what the actual time would have been. After the introduction of the Update Every Frame action this problem was solved in the new code. However due to this times submitted on the old code can be nearly unbeatable.
From this point onwards we will only accept times submitted on the newest code of Lucio Surf. To make distinguishing version easier we will implement a version number next to the season and mode display moving forwards and announce version updates in #workshop-codes in our Discord.
To make up for the time gain most top old code runs will have over new code runs we decided to add 0.04 seconds to every runs submitted on the old code. We think that this number is a good middle ground between making top old code runs a laughing stock and leaving them unbeatable. We will adjust leaderboard times in the coming days, however due to a list of old code runs already having been made by @Famous (many thanks to him) the rule to only accept new code runs goes into effect immediately.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you can understand this decision to make our leaderboards a purely skill based contest again.
